The Rapture

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven

with a shout,

with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.

And the dead in Christ will rise first.

Then we who are alive and remain

shall be caught up together with them in the clouds

to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

With A Shout

The Lord descends with a shout and the dead in Christ rise.

As he said to Lazarus, “Lazarus come forth” so this time he will say to all those who have died in Christ – “come forth.”

With A Voice With the voice of the archangel: “Behold the Bridegroom comes!”

“…the bridegroom came, and THOSE WHO WERE READY

went in with him to the wedding; AND THE DOOR WAS SHUT.”

Matthew 25:10

With The Trumpet Of God

NOT THE TRUMP OF ANGELS DECLARING JUDGMENTS in the Book of Revelation! No, this is THE TRUMP OF GOD -calling the assembly of born-again believers to be gathered together to meet the Lord -NOT on the Mount of Olives as in the “second coming of Christ,” but in the air to be taken to heaven with him “until the indignation be past” (Isaiah 26:20).

Fruit Bearing Christianity

The Christianity which is from above will always be known by its fruits.

It will produce in the person who has it repentance, faith, hope, love, humility, spirituality, kindness, self-denial, unselfishness, forgiving spirit, moderation, truthfulness, hospitality, and patience. The degree in which these various graces appear may vary in different believers. The germ and seeds of them will be found in all who are the children of God. By their fruits they will be known. Is this your faith? If not, you should doubt whether it is authentic. ~ J.C. Ryle

His Temptation and Ours
September 18, 2017
We do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. —Hebrews 4:15

Until we are born again, the only kind of temptation we understand is the kind mentioned in James 1:14, “Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.” But through regeneration we are lifted into another realm where there are other temptations to face, namely, the kind of temptations our Lord faced. The temptations of Jesus had no appeal to us as unbelievers because they were not at home in our human nature. Our Lord’s temptations and ours are in different realms until we are born again and become His brothers. The temptations of Jesus are not those of a mere man, but the temptations of God as Man. Through regeneration, the Son of God is formed in us (see Galatians 4:19), and in our physical life He has the same setting that He had on earth. Satan does not tempt us just to make us do wrong things— he tempts us to make us lose what God has put into us through regeneration, namely, the possibility of being of value to God. He does not come to us on the premise of tempting us to sin, but on the premise of shifting our point of view, and only the Spirit of God can detect this as a temptation of the devil.
Temptation means a test of the possessions held within the inner, spiritual part of our being by a power outside us and foreign to us. This makes the temptation of our Lord explainable. After Jesus’ baptism, having accepted His mission of being the One “who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29) He “was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness” (Matthew 4:1) and into the testing devices of the devil. Yet He did not become weary or exhausted. He went through the temptation “without sin,” and He retained all the possessions of His spiritual nature completely intact.

Listening Hard for God – Streams in the Desert – September 18
2017Sep 18
“Where there is no vision, the people perish”(Prov. 29 :18).
Waiting upon God is necessary in order to see Him, to have a vision of Him. The time element in vision is essential. Our hearts are like a sensitive photographer’s plate; and in order to have God revealed there, we must sit at His feet a long time. The troubled surface of a lake will not reflect an object.
Our lives must be quiet and restful if we would see God. There is power in the sight of some things to affect one’s life. A quiet sunset will bring peace to a troubled heart. Thus the vision of God always transforms human life.
Jacob saw God at Jabbok’s ford, and became Israel. The vision of God transformed Gideon from a coward into a valiant soldier. The vision of Christ changed Thomas from a doubting follower into a loyal, devout disciple.
But men have had visions of God since Bibletimes. William Carey saw God, and left his shoemaker’s bench and went to India. David Livingstone saw God, and left all to follow Him through the jungles of dark Africa. Scores and hundreds have had visions of God, and are today in the uttermost parts of the earth working for the speedy evangelization of the heathen.

–Dr. Pardington
There is hardly ever a complete silence in the soul. God is whispering to us well-nigh incessantly. Whenever the sounds of the world die out in the soul, or sink low, then we hear the whisperings of God. He is always whispering to us, only we do not hear, because of the noise, hurry, and distraction which life causes as it rushes on.

–F. W. Faber
“Speak, Lord, in the stillness,

While I wait on Thee;

Hushed my heart to listen

In expectancy.
“Speak, O blessed Master,

In this quiet hour;

Let me see Thy face, Lord,

Feel Thy touch of power.
“For the words Thou speakest,

‘They are life,’ indeed;

Living bread from Heaven,

Now my spirit feed!
“Speak, Thy servant heareth!

Be not silent, Lord;

Waits my soul upon Thee

For the quickening word!”

When God has purposed to move through

you greatly…….anticipate the enemy to

oppose you fiercely

The real question is not “why is the battle

so fierce?”………..the real question is “why

does the enemy see what God has placed

within you more clearly than you do?”

If you would have your little faith grow into

great faith, you must feed it well. Faith is a

feeding grace. It does not ask you to give it

the things that are seen, but it does ask you

to give it the promise of the things that are

not seen, which are eternal. Thou tellest me

thou hast little faith. I ask thee whether thou

art given to the meditation of God’s Word,

whether thou hast studied the promises

whether thou art wont to carry one of those

sacred things about with thee every day?

Dost thou reply, “No?” Then, I tell thee, I do

not wonder at thine unbelief He who deals

largely with the promises, will, under grace,

very soon find that there is great room for

believing them. Get a promise, beloved, every

day, and take it with you wherever you go;

mark it, learn it, and inwardly digest it. Don’t

do as some men do-who think it a Christian

duty to read a chapter every morning, and

they read one as long as your arm without

understanding it at all; but take out some

choice text and pray the Lord during the day

to break it up to your mind. Do as Luther

says: “When I get hold of a promise,” says

he, “I look upon it as I would a fruit tree. I

think-there hang the fruits above my head,

and if I would get them I must shake the tree

to and fro.” So I take a promise and meditate

upon it; I shake it to and fro, and sometimes

the mellow fruit fans into my hand, at other

times the fruit is less ready to fall, but I never

leave off till I get it. I shake, shake all the day

long; I turn the text over and over again, and

at last the pomegranate droppeth down, and

my soul is comforted with apples, for it was

sick of love. Do that, Christian. Deal much

with the promises; have much commerce

with these powders of the merchant: there is

a rich perfume in every promise of God;

taken; it is an alabaster box, break it by

meditation, and the sweet scent of faith shall

be shed abroad in your house.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY – Far too many

church members believe themselves a

Christian simply because they believe in the

existence of God. But until we have

experienced a supernatural revelation of the

AWESOMENESS of God and the

AWFULLNESS of ourselves and come to His

forgiveness and commit our lives to Him on

His terms; we will remain a church member

without Christ, without hope and continue

Hell bound.

Alas, that Idol, myself, is the Master idol we

all bow to! Every man blameth the devil for

his sins; but the great devil, the house-

devil of every man, that lieth and eateth in

every man’s bosom, is that idol that killeth

all, himself. Blessed are they who can deny

themselves, and put Christ in the room of

themselves. 0 sweet word “I live no more,

It’s All About Revelation

…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the Father of glory,

may give to you the spirit of wisdom and REVELATION in the knowledge of Him,

the eyes of your understanding being ENLIGHTENED,

that you may know what is the hope of His calling,

what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints… Ephesians 1:17-18

It all comes by revelation, and NOT by human reasoning. If you’ve tried to understand God, or to understand His Word and find you cannot, there is a reason for that. You are trying to do in your human resources what only the Spirit of God can do.

It’s all about REVELATION.

Jesus answered and said to him,

“Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah,

FOR FLESH AND BLOOD HAS NOT REVEALED THIS TO YOU

but My Father who is in heaven.”

Matthew 16:17

Humble yourself before the Lord and in all humility ASK him to reveal his Word to you. What you do not understand, set aside for now. Let Him reveal himself and His Word to you as you read it (the Bible) prayerfully. He WILL reveal it, gradually more and more, as you sit before him. Put the time in. It’s worth it. It’s beyond worth it. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ASK of God,

who gives to all liberally and without reproach,

and it WILL be given to him.

James 1:5

These are great promises in the Word of God. Receive them, meditate on them, believe them, and He will do the rest.

Death is the ultimate profanity in today’s world. We don’t like to think about it, much less talk about it. However, death is that one reality that will not leave us alone. We lose friends and family members to death. At one point in our lives, we too, will face this inevitability unless Jesus comes before our passing. So what is our assurance as we face the inescapable? Our Sheperd! He will walk us through, guiding and protecting and comforting us in our journey. And as Christians, this promise is only intensified because we know Jesus as our Good Shepherd, and he has taken the walk ahead of us to assure us that our walk through death’s valley doesn’t end in death, but in glory.

History Rapture Watchers

History Rapture Watchers

The darkness is overpowering the light.

The hate is overpowering the love. One day soon all true born again believers will be taken up in the rapture. All the salt and light will be taken up out of this world.

Right now Christians are too busy arguing over the timing of the rapture to prepare for the rapture. Too busy angrily sharing their view throwing around the words “false Prophets” to any and everyone who doesn’t agree 100% with their interpretation of end times scripture.

Come on guys! We have much more to think about then arguing with our brothers and sisters (which looks awful! And it’s not pleasant! You want to attack and hurt other Christians feelings? Is that the fruit of the spirit or your prideful flesh?)

It looks awful to the unbelievers out there. “These people can’t get it together” people yelling and screaming that date setters make us look “crazy”

The yelling and screaming makes us look “crazy”

Be kind with one another.

My advice to any true bible believing Christian with the fruit of the spirit is to pray for those attacking you. Don’t argue back. You can state your belief nicely and tell them “I’ll pray for you”

We have too much to do.

Whatever God is putting on your heart do it now. We don’t have much time left (whether you believe in a feast of trumpets rapture, imminent rapture, Pentecost rapture with the signs converging we can all agree it’s CLOSE)

let’s love not hate. There’s enough hate in the world. Let us Christians be different.

The world goes one way ~~~>

We true bible believing Christians go the opposite <~~~~ # LoveNotHate # FruitOfTheSpirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5
